Breezaro vs Tidio: which fits a small customer support team?

Comparisons5 min read

Compare Breezaro and Tidio on AI usage, monthly and annual pricing, email support, Shopify workflows and human takeover. A practical guide to choosing your setup.

Choose Breezaro when you want an AI assistant connected to your business content, with product search and human takeover in Pro. Give Tidio particular consideration when email ticketing and native Shopify workflows are central to your team's day. Both support automated answers and people stepping in; the useful distinction is how your actual support process fits the product.

In this article, we compare our own service, Breezaro, with Tidio. We use public pricing, official documentation and Breezaro's implemented capabilities, checked on 21 October 2026. It is not a hands-on accuracy benchmark between the two products. Prices and plan conditions can change.

Start with the work your team does

Consider three common jobs:

  • A visitor needs delivery information that is already on your website.
  • A shopper needs help choosing between products.
  • An existing customer needs someone to investigate an order and follow up by email.

The first requires dependable business knowledge. The second needs usable product information and sensible follow-up questions. The third depends on access to current order data, an accountable operator and a suitable follow-up channel. A product can be a good fit for one job and an awkward fit for another.

Write down your essential channels, store platform and handoff requirements before comparing subscription prices. That prevents a cheap entry plan from becoming your benchmark for a workflow it does not include.

Pricing: compare the complete setup

The following are USD entry prices. Annual equivalents are explicitly marked; they require annual payment. Taxes, extra usage and optional add-ons are outside these figures.

Product or planMonthly billingAnnual option shownIncluded usage relevant here
Breezaro Basic$8.99/monthMonthly plan used in this comparison1,000 credits/month
Breezaro Pro$28.99/monthMonthly plan used in this comparison4,000 credits/month; Take Control and product catalog
Tidio Customer Service Starter$29/month$290/year, about $24.17/month100 billable human conversations/month
Tidio Lyro AI Agent entry quota$39/month$390/year, $32.50/month50 AI conversations/month

Breezaro figures come from our pricing page. Tidio's annual display and entry quotas come from its pricing page; monthly prices and annual totals are also listed by Tidio in its official Shopify app listing.

Tidio allows Lyro to be purchased separately. Do not automatically add a paid Customer Service plan if its free human-conversation allowance meets your needs. If you do choose both Starter and the entry Lyro package at the listed monthly prices, the arithmetic is $29 + $39 = $68/month. That buys two separate allowances, not 150 interchangeable conversations. This is an example configuration, not a quote for every small store.

Breezaro's 30-day trial includes 200 credits and Take Control. Tidio offers a seven-day trial of paid features; its initial 50 free Lyro conversations are a one-time allowance, not a permanent monthly AI allocation. See Tidio's trial guide and the pricing FAQ before planning a pilot.

Credits and conversations are different units

Breezaro's credits depend on the selected model and actions performed. Several replies, a product search and proactive AI messages can draw multiple credits from the same shared balance. Check the credit documentation and measure a representative workload.

Tidio's human-chat allowance is separate from Lyro and Flows usage. Its documentation counts a completed thread handled by an agent against the human quota, including live chat and email tickets. See the monthly conversations guide. A conversation is not a single AI reply, and an AI interaction is not automatically a successfully resolved request.

For either product, estimate normal and peak usage. In Tidio, also review the automatic upgrade setting, which can raise eligible quotas and charges as usage grows. In Breezaro, review the shared balance and top-up options. Compare a realistic month's bill, not the apparent price of unlike units.

Knowledge, products and connected systems

Breezaro can answer from documents, crawled websites, product sources and supported social content. Product catalog access starts at Pro. Its Custom Actions, available in Pro and the trial, can connect to a store API, but an order lookup requires configuration and customer-access checks. Installing the widget alone does not create that integration.

Tidio documents Lyro's knowledge setup through website content, manually entered questions and answers, CSV and PDF import, and public Zendesk articles. These options appear in its Lyro knowledge-base documentation. For either tool, inspect what was actually imported and test an answer whose source has changed.

Tidio has a dedicated Shopify app. Its Shopify FAQ describes seeing and managing orders in the operator panel and sending products during a chat. That is a meaningful advantage if your agents work with Shopify orders all day. Confirm the required plan and permissions for your intended operation; an operator feature does not by itself prove the AI performs the same action autonomously.

Human support and email follow-up

Breezaro Pro includes Take Control, allowing an operator to take over from the AI. Web chat and supported messaging channels are its conversation surfaces; it does not provide a shared email-ticket inbox. If most of your unresolved requests need an email case history, include the cost and work of your existing email process in the comparison.

Tidio documents mailbox connections, ticket assignment, internal notes, statuses and replies in its email ticketing guide. These capabilities make it a stronger candidate when email follow-up is a core requirement. Verify plan availability for the detailed workflow you need.

A small test that makes the decision clearer

Prepare the same content and questions for both trials. Include a straightforward FAQ, an ambiguous product request, unavailable information, an order-related request and an explicit request for a person. Write the expected outcome before running the test.

Record whether the answer is supported, whether the next step is appropriate, how much usage it consumes and how easily the operator continues. Test outside staffed hours as well. A handoff button is useful only if someone can find and handle the request.

Choose Breezaro if its connected knowledge, Pro features and credit budget fit those tasks. Choose Tidio if its ticketing and native store workflow remove more work for your team. Start with the Breezaro plan comparison and chatbot testing checklist, then decide from your own results.
