AI chatbot for WooCommerce / WordPress, how to set it up (2026)

Use cases2 min readPublished June 25, 2026

How to put an AI chatbot on a WooCommerce store (WordPress) that answers customers from your website and products. Via crawl or a product feed, no native plugin.

Does an AI chatbot work on WooCommerce?

Yes. WooCommerce (the e-commerce plugin for WordPress) is one of the most widely used store solutions, and an AI chatbot makes sense on it. Customers keep asking the same things (shipping, returns, availability, specs) and the bot handles them on its own.

Breezaro has no native WooCommerce plugin, and doesn't need one. It connects in ways WordPress readily supports:

  • Website crawl. The bot goes through your store and learns from product descriptions, FAQs and info pages.
  • Product XML feed. If you generate a feed for comparison sites (Google Shopping, Heureka, produced by plugins like "Product Feed"), Breezaro can use it to load the catalog.

Then you add the widget, one line into your site.

What the bot solves on WooCommerce

The most common questions it answers from your content:

  • Shipping and delivery. Where, how much, how long.
  • Returns and complaints. Deadlines, the process.
  • Products. Specs, variants, what they're made of.
  • Payments and terms.

What the bot isn't for: questions about a specific order ("where's my parcel?") need an integration with your order system, which Breezaro doesn't do. But an operator can take over such a conversation (from the Pro plan and during the trial).

How to deploy the chatbot on WooCommerce step by step

  1. Create a bot. Name, a description of your store, language.
  2. Add content. Enter your store's address to crawl, optionally connect a product XML feed.
  3. Copy the widget. One line of JavaScript.
  4. Add it to WordPress. Either into the theme (footer.php, just before </body>), or via a header/footer scripts plugin (e.g. WPCode).
  5. Test it. Open your store in an incognito window and ask the three most common questions.

You can do the whole setup yourself, without a developer.

Tip: a plugin is the easiest route

If you'd rather not touch the theme, use a header/footer scripts plugin (WPCode, "Insert Headers and Footers" and similar). Paste the widget into the footer code field and you're done.

An AI chatbot on WooCommerce handles routine questions 24/7, so you can focus on orders and customer care.
