Connecting Facebook Messenger
This guide shows you how to connect your Facebook Page so your assistant can reply to customers directly in Messenger.
- Connect in a few clicks with your Meta login.
- Replies powered by your knowledge base.
- Hand any conversation to the Meta inbox and back.
Before you start
You will need two things in place on the Meta side before connecting.
- A Facebook Page you administer.
- A Meta account with admin access to that Page.
Connecting Messenger
Connecting takes only a moment and happens through Meta's official login.
1. Open Dashboard → Integrations → Messenger
In your Breezaro dashboard, go to Integrations and open the Messenger section.
2. Click "Connect Messenger"
A Meta login window opens. Sign in and select the Facebook Page you want to connect.
3. Finish the connection
Confirm the selection. Your Page is now linked and the assistant starts replying to new Messenger messages.
Setting the primary receiver (Conversation Routing)
To hand conversations between Breezaro and the Meta inbox, your Page must route new messages to Breezaro first. This is a one-time setting only a Page admin can make.
- Open your Page's messaging settingsIn Meta Business Suite, open your Page settings and go to the messaging section called Conversation Routing (advanced messaging).
- Set Breezaro as the primary receiverEnable Conversation Routing and choose the Breezaro app as the default (primary) app that receives new messages.
- Save and testSave the setting, then send your Page a test message. In the conversation detail you can now hand the thread to the Meta inbox and take it back.
Working alongside the Meta inbox
Your team can keep using the Meta Business Suite inbox — the assistant knows when to step aside.
When someone from your team replies from the Meta inbox (Business Suite or the Pages app), the assistant automatically goes quiet in that conversation and the inbox shows a "handled in the Meta inbox" marker.
In the conversation detail you can take the thread back at any time — "Reply here" lets you answer from Breezaro yourself, "Return to the assistant" lets the AI resume.
Good to know
A few Messenger-specific rules apply.
- The assistant replies with text. Attachments from the customer (images, stickers, files) appear in the conversation as an attachment marker.
- Messenger enforces a 24-hour messaging window — the assistant can reply within 24 hours of the customer's last message.
- The manual hand-off buttons need the one-time primary receiver setup above; the automatic step-aside works without it.
